VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers are the backbone of respite ministry

We are looking for enthusiastic, positive, and loving people to join our team. Commitments can be as little as 30 minutes a month - every contribution is helpful and needed! Are you an artist, musician, game lover, or great conversationalist? Can you lead a devotion or heat and serve a delicious meal? We need your special skills to keep each day socially, physically, cognitively, and spiritually stimulating. See below for ways you can serve, a volunteer checklist, and a form to connect and let us learn a little bit about you!

Volunteer opportunities

COMPANION CREW 9:55 - 3:00 Companion volunteers enjoy spending the day with members as you move together from activity to activity.
LUNCH BUNCH - 11:30 -1:30 Heat, plate, and serve food and drinks. Lunch served at 12:15. Clean up.
BREAKFAST BARISTA - 9:45-11:15 Prepare and serve coffee
SENSORY SQUAD - Leads Movement, Art, or Music for 20-30 minutes
SPIRITUAL WARRIORS - 11:00 We invite local religious leaders to come lead a 10 minute encouraging and uplifting biblically centered devotion

Complete Hope Haven's volunteer training
Pass a background check (we will provide)
Get a TB skin test to protect our members and other volunteers.
