MEMBER ENROLLMENT

What should members of Hope Haven expect?

Advertised as a social club for our friends living with dementia, each person is warmly welcomed and cared for as a valued member of Hope Haven. Every member enriches our ministry in their own unique and meaningful way.

For four hours a day, one to two days a week, members gather alongside trained volunteers for a joyful experience filled with music, art, games, gentle exercise, shared meals, and purposeful service projects. At Hope Haven, there is no distinction between member and volunteer. This shared spirit of service creates an atmosphere of belonging, where everyone forms genuine connections and supports one another through life’s challenges.

Here, our members discover joy in new friendships, renewed purpose, meaningful connection through engaging activities, and the freedom to simply be themselves in a safe and uplifting community.

Admission Procedure & Criteria

Caregivers who are interested in having their loved one participate in Hope Haven are invited to complete the brief form below. Once submitted, our director will follow up with a phone call to learn more about your loved one and answer any questions you may have.

This conversation is an important part of the process. It allows us to better understand your loved one’s needs and interests, while also giving you the opportunity to determine whether Hope Haven is the right fit for your family. Together, we thoughtfully consider whether our program will provide a comfortable, engaging, and supportive experience to ensure they can fully enjoy all that Hope Haven offers.

Members also must be:

  • Medically stable (have doctor's approval to participate)
  • Able to ambulate independently without posing danger to themselves or others (assistive devices such as canes and walkers are permitted)
  • Able to perform daily living activities independently including eating and toileting (adult briefs may be used if the member can change them independently)
  • Able to socialize in a group setting
  • Transported to/from the program by a caregiver (they may not walk or drive unaccompanied)

We ask that our members have a TB skin test.

What does Hope Haven cost?

There is a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $100 and a daily program fee of $52/ day, which is billed monthly.

Monthly rates are as follows:

  • 1 day per week: $205
