MEMBERS

Admission Procedure & Criteria

Caregivers wishing to have a loved one participate in the program, should fill out the brief form below to be followed up with a call from Hope Haven's director to determine if the program and applicant are a good match. Participation in the program is contingent on the applicant's ability to be comfortable and capable of  interacting and socializing with others in a group setting.

Members also must be:

  • Medically stable
  • Able to ambulate independently without posing danger to themselves or others (assistive devices such as canes and walkers are permitted)
  • Able to perform daily living activities independently including eating and toileting (adult briefs may be used if the member can change them independently)
  • Able to socialize in a group setting
  • Transported to/from the program by a caregiver (they may not walk or drive unaccompanied)

We ask that our members have a TB skin test.

What should members of Hope Haven expect?

Advertised as a social club to our friends living with dementia, they will be welcomed and cared for as a member of Hope Haven. Every member enhances the ministry in their own unique way. For four hours a day, 1-2 days a week, our members will join with trained volunteers for a day full of games, music, art, exercise, shared meals and purposeful service projects. There is no distinction made between a member and a volunteer - creating an atmosphere of service and allowing all involved to form connections and support each other through life’s challenges.  Our members are important, and we want Hope Haven to help them regain their sense of purpose, feel independent, and find joy in new friendships.

What does Hope Haven cost?

There is a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $100 and a daily program fee of $52/ day, which is billed monthly.

Monthly rates are as follows:

  • 1 day per week: $205
  • 2 days per week: $410

Hope Haven operates on a 47 week/ year schedule.  (Weeks not in session will be holidays and scheduled exceptions announced well in advance)
